Having spent the best part of 2023 gradually walking the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, we had finally reached the big one – our last in Pembrokeshire, and widely regarded as the most challenging walk of the Wales Coast Path – Newport to Cardigan.

Our penultimate walk on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path took us from Fishguard to Newport via Pwllgwaelod Beach, Dinas Head, Cwm yr Eglwys, Aberfforest Beach and Newport Parrog with enjoyable paths and stunning views.

The walk from Pwll Deri to Fishguard is full of stunning views, rugged paths and the beautiful Strumble Head, with its iconic lighthouse. Unfortunately for us, we walked this one on a flying ant day!

The rugged and picturesque walk from Porthgain to Pwll Deri passes Abercastle, Abermawr and Aberbach, with remote and, at times, mountainous terrain, and beautiful pebble beaches.

Looking for a unique swimming spot in Pembrokeshire? Look no further than the Blue Lagoon! Nestled in the rugged rocks and ruins of Abereiddi’s coastline, just off the Wales Coast Path, the Blue Lagoon is a stunning natural pool that’s popular for coasteering, kayaking and swimming.

The walk from Whitesands Bay to Porthgain is, quite simply, stunning – the only thing that hampered my day was my poor choice of footwear!

The walk from Solva to Whitesands Bay transformed our July 2023 weekend in Pembrokeshire from a complete dud to a success. Following a cancelled trip to Skomer Island, we headed off on a beautiful walk taking in Caerfai Bay, Porth Clais, Porthlysgi Bay, St Justinian's, Porthselau and Whitesands Bay.

We enjoyed some beautiful sights on the walk from Broad Haven to Solva, including of Broad Haven Beach, Nolton Haven Beach, Newgale Beach and Solva Harbour.

The walk from Dale to Broad Haven is a real highlight, with stunning views of Marloes Sands, Skokholm, Skomer, St Bride's Haven and more!

We walked the Dale Peninsula as a seven-mile circular, taking in pretty views of beautiful bays, St Ann's Head Lighthouse and Skokholm.

Our misty walk from Milford Haven to Dale offered lovely views of Gelliswick Bay, Lindsway Bay, Monk Haven Beach, the Gann and Dale Beach.

To those thinking about skipping the walk from Pembroke Dock, it might be worth reconsidering, as it's a varied and interesting walk.

The walk from Angle to Pembroke Dock is a bit eerie, passing the Valero Pembroke Refinery, with Pembroke Castle a real highlight of the day.

An interesting walk around the Angle peninsula, passing West Angle Beach, Thorne Island, Stack Rock Fort, and Old Point House.

This is a stunning walk, packed with iconic sites including St Govan’s Chapel, Huntsman’s Leap, Elegug Stacks and the Green Bridge of Wales.

The walk from Manorbier to Broad Haven South Beach is a beauty, passing Swanlake Beach, Freshwater East and the famed Barafundle Bay.

Our second Pembrokeshire Coast Path walk took us from Manorbier to Tenby along lovely coastal paths via Skrinkle Haven and Church Door Cove.

Our first walk of 2023 was the short stroll from Amroth to Tenby, taking in stunning beach views, including at stunning Saundersfoot.

The walk from Pendine to Amroth was our last in Carmarthenshire, and marked our arrival at the much-loved Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
